What makes dining at Limón special? Our attention to detail; it starts with our waitstaff, continues with live-action grilling by Sergio and finishes with the presentation and taste of the food. If you're looking for a special night out while visiting Isla Mujeres, Limón will deliver a dining experience as unique as it is delicious.
Born in México, Sergio Contreras Martínez has fond memories of learning to cook with his mother; family meals were traditional Mexican dishes. It was not until he travelled out of México that he developed an international palate. He discovered Japanese, Indian, Chinese, British and Thai cuisines amongst others.
Upon returning to Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Sergio enjoyed recreating dishes from his travels for his family and friends, and experimenting with recipes. In 2012 Limón Restaurant was established. Here he is in his element as “The Grill Master” and his aim is to present delectable food for his friends and customers. Once you meet Sergio you will realise that his passion for culinary arts is undeniable!
